Athena Series

Following the success of the first event hosted by Contenders Legion Limited, the next event we organised aimed to fill the gap in events for females and marginalised genders by hosting a more regular event giving teams more competitive experience throughout the scene.

Our second event under Contenders Legion was: Athena Series. This event was focused towards the GC scene; Riot Game's female and marginalised gender focused events. This event featured a €1,000 prizepool, and as a result, attracted many top names in esports, including; Godsent, Case, Rix.gg, Into the Breach, Angry Titans, Tenstar, Rebels and Sangal Esports just to name a few. This time, we expanded the staff team to over 23 staff, running two concurrent streams to maximise viewership for the players, staff and sponsors at the time; Beyond NRG.

On our main stream, we averaged 123 viewers for the entire event, with a peak of 230 viewers during the finals. On the second stream, we averaged 79 viewers, with a peak of 143 during the semi-final. This showed that our product and innovations were growing event by event.
